ABOUT US
At the Creative Catalyst Foundation, we are dedicated to addressing inequality by providing opportunities for disadvantaged kids to discover and cultivate their genuine interests. We aim to ignite a passion for art through various artistic initiatives, empowering individuals to explore new experiences and unlock their full potential. By fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, we strive to bridge the opportunity gap in our society and inspire positive change, one child at a time.
Passion provides us with the energy to go toward our dreams. It is the motivation or desire to do something. Passion is what makes our lives interesting and exciting, and no one deserves to miss out on a possible talent just because they were never exposed to it growing up.
Adolescents need to have the chance to fall in love with something they enjoy and have fun! By providing free lessons, our goal is to promote creativity and become a catalyst for those who are not fortunate enough to buy expensive lessons from teachers.
We hope to make a difference in the lives of each child. Our activities are non-stressful and a more laid-back way for kids to socialize and find joy in creating art!
Why did I create this?
Our Story: I'm Christina Xiao, a high school student at Lexington High School. I created the Creative Catalyst Foundation because I understand firsthand the transformative power of art in a young person's life. Growing up with access to quality art education from a young age has shaped my identity and fueled my passion for creativity. However, I recognize that not all children have the same opportunities due to financial constraints or lack of resources. By leveraging the talented art community at my school, I aim to provide free access to art education for underserved children, empowering them to discover and pursue their passions, just as I have been fortunate enough to do.
